Hi, I'm Mary Cherry.
I'm the eighth of fifteen children, which taught me early that there's always room for one more at the table.
Life had other plans.
I married my husband, Ernie, and together we raised two children. When Ernie became ill, I cared for him for fourteen years.
Somewhere in those years, I discovered painting.
My laundry room became my little studio-a place where grief and hope could exist beside each other.
Maybe you're still finding your studio.
Every season of life taught me the same thing.
People don't need to earn a place where they belong.
They need someone to say, "We've been saving you a seat."
That's why I created Five Oceans. One Planet.™
Five Oceans. One Planet.™ began as a children's book, but it became something much bigger.
It's an invitation to kindness, curiosity, caring for one another, clean water, and the belief that every person deserves to be seen, heard...and know they belong.
When we realize our lives are connected,caring for one another becomes as natural as sharing a seat at the table.
